The Korean Academy (KORA) is delighted to announce the winners of the KORA Korean Poetry Writing Competition 2025, an event that celebrated creativity, emotional expression, and linguistic artistry in the Korean language.

This year’s competition received over 50 heartfelt and beautifully written submissions from participants across different countries. Each poem reflected a deep appreciation for Korean language and culture. After careful evaluation, two outstanding winners were selected based on creativity, emotional depth, originality, and poetic expression.

First Winner: Tiara Nuur Syifa (Indonesia)

Tiara Nuur Syifa impressed the judging panel with her evocative poems, “Autumn Tears” and “Blooming Spring.” Her work beautifully captured emotions and seasonal imagery, demonstrating sensitivity, imagination, and a strong command of Korean poetic expression.

Her poems truly embody the spirit of the competition, where language becomes a bridge between emotion and culture. The Korean Academy warmly congratulates Tiara on this remarkable achievement and wishes her continued success in her academic and creative journey. Her poems will be featured in the KORA Annual Magazine 2025 and showcased on KORA’s official platforms.

Second Winner: Alimpia Roy (India)

Alimpia Roy earned recognition for her powerful poem, “The Unnoticed Strength.” Through thoughtful expression and emotional depth, her work highlighted resilience and inner strength, reflecting a mature understanding of Korean poetic storytelling.

Her poem stood out for its clarity, imagination, and cultural sensitivity. The Korean Academy sincerely congratulates Alimpia on her achievement and looks forward to sharing her work with a wider audience through the KORA Annual Magazine 2025 and official platforms.
